Was Randeep Hooda unhappy seeing awards for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan?
Throughout his career, Randeep Hooda has delivered some truly stellar performances whether it is Highway (2014), Sarbjit or Rang Rasiya. However, he has not won any Popular Award like many other stars. In his interview with Siddharth Kannan, he said it is not useful for any artist to gauge his or her merit based on the trophies. He said recognition from the fraternity was a nice thing but he does not hold grudges against Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He said it would be “unbecoming” if he complained now. But knowing that people felt he deserved an award was a like a victory in itself.
The actor also said that he did feel bad about being overlooked in Sarbjit. However, he never spoke about in public. He said that he moved on to his next projects. Randeep Hooda said that he did not like to give so much control to others about his self-image.
