Shraddha Kapoor is on cloud nine as her movie Stree 2 has shattered all box office records. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror comedy also stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripati, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The movie was a sequel to the 2018 movie Stree. It has created a new record at the box office with being the only Hindi movie with a 600+ crore collection. Shraddha fans are quite happy for her. But did you know the actress would’ve had a second release this year in a movie that now features Triptii Dimri? Yes, you read it right. A movie which now stars Triptii Dimri almost had Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady. The movie we are talking about is Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Directed by Raaj Shandilyaa, the romantic comedy stars Rajkummar Rao alongside Triptii. The director revealed that Shraddha was one of the choices for the movie. In an interview with Mid-day, Raaj Shaandilyaa revealed the name of the actress he first thought of casting alongside Rajkummar. The Dream Girl director also shared the reason why he dropped the idea of casting Shraddha as the female lead. “We considered Nushrratt [Bharuccha], Janhvi [Kapoor], and Bhumi [Pednekar], but Raj had worked with all of them. We had also thought of Shraddha [Kapoor] but Raj was doing Stree 2 with her. Then we thought of trying Tripti. I had watched her previous work and knew she was a good actor,” revealed Raaj. Further in this entertainment news, the movie also marks the comeback of Murder actress Mallika Sherawat. The movie-going audience is curious to see Mallika in a different avatar. About casting her in the film, Raaj revealed that the actress was surprised that he thought of her to play the part. Sherawat loved the director and was waiting for someone to cast her in a strong and fun character. The actress’ character has some fun scenes in the trailer.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video also stars Vijay Raaz and Tiku Talsania in pivotal roles. The movie is slated to hit theatres on October 11, 2024. It will clash with Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra. Shraddha Kapoor, who last appeared in Stree 2 with Rajkummar Rao, was considered for a romantic comedy that features Triptii Dimri in the lead role.
