A romance that started in a diner. Waitress stars Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett are now married. “We did a big thing. I will just say I love this man and I love the community who came to hold us up,” Bareilles wrote on Instagram on October 7. “I am feeling so lucky and so grateful.” The couple met during the early stages of Waitress: The Musical in 2015, when Tippett was auditioning, and Bareilles masterminded the show’s score. While the two never shared the Broadway stage together, they did co-star in the filmed version of the musical, currently streaming on HBO Max. The Waitress lovebirds began a relationship a year later and announced their engagement in 2023. The Morning Show actor teased their wedding on Saturday when he posted a sweet photo of the two, writing, “Marrying My Best Friend Today. May We All Be So Lucky.”
