Saath Nibhaana Saathiya was a big show. It won hearts and is still very popular amongst fans. People remember every dialogue from the show. The characters from the show also have a separate fan base. We have all loved the song Yashraj Mukhate made out of Kokilaben’s dialogue. It was a treat for fans and now Kokila Modi and Gopi bahu have become the most iconic characters. The TRPs of the show were also quite amazing. The show starred Gia Manek, Rupal Patel, Mohammad Nazim, Vishal Singh, Rucha Hasabnis and others. Devoleena Bhattacharjee replaced Gia Manek as Gopi later. The best part about the show was the relationship of Kokila and Gopi. The saas-bahu jodi was loved by fans and even today people love them. The second part of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya had Rupal Patel, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Mohammad Nazim. Rupal Patel recently spoke to Siddharth Kannan about her show, Saathiya.

Rupal Patel cried when Devoleena replaced Gia as Gopi Bahu

She spoke about how she always trusted the show and recalled the time when the team of Saathiya was made to sit in the last row of an award function but the next year, they got the first row because their show was a hit. She shared how reaching the first row became their goal and they got good TRPs. She then spoke about Gia Manek replacing Devoleena. She said that Gia was also a hardworking girl and did a good job as Gopi. However, Devoleena came with a Bengali accent and she worked hard to make everyone fall in love with Gopi and accept her as Gopi. Rupal said that she wasn’t aware of Gia leaving and Devoleena replacing her. She got a call from her director asking to come for a promo shoot. She reached the sets and came to know about it from the dialogues given. She was then told about the replacement and she started crying thinking of how she will make the rapport again. She also recalled being a part of a press conference the same day with Devoleena and she could not speak. She also said that she welcomed Devoleena with open arms and they then had a good bond. She also praised the way Devoleena was trying hard and finally made everyone accept her as Gopi.

She further spoke about Gia Manek leaving the show for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She said that it would have been better for Gia if she had continued with Saathiya. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress Rupal Patel spoke about working with Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Gia Manek. She said that she cried when Devoleena replaced Gia as Gopi bahu.
