You lose one Emmy and look what happens. Netflix is finally pulling the plug on Queer Eye, announcing that season 10 will be its last. The NuFabFive (Bobby is out and Jeremiah is in, if you’ll recall) will be transforming one more city: this time our nation’s capital Washington D.C. Many, many folks needing a makeover in that town. Toning down the guyliner, cutting back on the alleged shoe lifts, learning appropriate musical theater etiquette, things of that nature. It’s a fascinating choice for a final location in these increasingly politically fractious times.
Queer Eye was renewed in 2022 for four more cycles. All the cast members besides Bobby Berk signed on, and Jeremiah Brent became the show’s interior design guru. This will be Brent’s second season with the show and the others’ tenth. Last year, Queer Eye lost the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Structured Reality Program to Shark Tank, it’s first loss ever in that category.
The stars of Queer Eye bid their fond farewells on social media. “First day of the FINAL season of Queer Eye,” Tan France wrote on his IG. “It’s been a long, beautiful journey we’ve been on, and I truly appreciate all of the love and support for our little show, that changed my life in ways I never thought possible.” Antoni Porowski wrote on his stories “LET’S MAKE OUR LAST ONE COUNT.” Netflix has not yet shared a premiere date for this final season.
