Priyadarshan‘s opinion on sequels

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Priyadarshan firstly confirmed that he is once again collaborating with Akshay Kumar. They have joined hands for a horror fantasy comedy drama that will be produced by Ektaa Kapoor. He shared that the story will have a backdrop of magic, the ‘oldest superstition of India’. Then the ace filmmaker was asked about two of his hit films Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa that have now become hit franchises. To this, Priyadarshan mentioned that he somehow does not like doing sequels. He shared that the first one is always the best and people will also like the original. With sequels, makers exploit the success of the market, is what he feel. Okay then!

A list of all the top upcoming sequels

Talking about the sequels, there are quite a few that are almost ready to release. In the month of August, we shall see Singham 3 clashing with Allu Arjun’s movie Pushpa 2: The Rule. The films are set to make it to the theatres in the month of August 2024. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and many others is going to release in Diwali this year. Boney Kapoor has also announced the sequel of No Entry. Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor are going to be the leads in the film. Another big sequel that fans are waiting for desperately is War 2. South superstar Jr NTR has joined Hrithik Roshan in this action drama. The shooting is currently underway. There is Krissh 4.
