Parineeti Chopra blames wrong advice for bad film choices

While talking to Pinkvilla, Parineeti Chopra was asked if she had the clarity to see through her bad choices of the films. The actress says she is not blind. However, she talks about the people she had surrounded herself with in her initial days. She says that she was not prepared when she came into the industry. She was not aware of what was required to be a heroine in the industry. Parineeti says she would just do her work and then go home. And thereafter, she started listening to all kinds of advice.

Parineeti Chopra says she got template advice

The Amar Singh Chamkila actress says she got template advice from people which can be applied to any of her contemporaries. However, it was not a piece of customised advice for her which she felt was wrong. “You can’t copy other people and expect the same results for yourself,” Parineeti says. The actress reveals that she chased a lot of commerce and let go of what she should have focused on instead, that is, her performances. Over time, she realised she made a mistake by listening to the advice of people. Slowly and gradually, she started rediscovering herself.

Talking about Parineeti Chopra, she played the wife, Amarjyot Kaur, partner of Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit Dosanjh played the role of Chamkila in the movie. Imtiaz Ali handled the direction. Fans have hailed the kind of story-telling of Chamkila and also the performances of Pari and Diljit. The film was released on 12th April on Netflix.
