Gautam Gambhir reveals how Shah Rukh Khan held on to him during his rough patch
In conversation with Cyrus Broacha, Gautam Gambhir was asked by the host about the bad patch and SRK’s kind gesture towards him during that phase of 2014. Gambhir revealed that more than a patch, it was like he wasn’t just delivering and was thinking about dropping out. Gambhir shares that he felt he should be deserving to be a part of the 11-player team. The KKR mentor admits to telling Shah Rukh Khan that he has been considering dropping out. However, the Pathaan and Jawan actor just told him one thing that changed everything. Gautam Gambhir shares that SRK told him that he will be here till the time he is here and he will keep playing. The superstar told him to not think about dropping out at all whatever happens. “So, imagine someone as an owner, who himself has been such a big, great achiever not even talking about cricket, asking you about a single thing about your decision making ‘ Gambhir adds while gushing about the trust the superstar showed in him even when he was not performing to his full potential at that time.
