What do you mean the druggy, sexy, cocaine-fueled Industry didn’t get any Emmy nominations? Whatever — it’s too cool for the Emmys anyway. At least that was the vibe from series creator Konrad Kay on X following the show’s shutout. “Who cares,” he wrote in response to William Goodman, a culture writer and fan of the show, griping about the show’s lack of nominations. “We’re busy working on a better season.” The show was one of the few HBO shows that didn’t seem to score big with the Emmys this year: The network broke its record for most Emmy nominations with 142 total. With that in mind, Industry being shut out despite airing what is undeniably its best season feels a little punk rock.

Its fully Emmy-worthy stars Myha’la and Marisa Abela, who just won a Rising Star BAFTA, probably can’t be bothered either: They’re currently filming season four and posting TikToks lip-syncing to Megan Thee Stallion.
