According to a report on Gossip TV, the Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy starrer Imlie will go off the air by next month, which means May 2024 will put an end to Imlie’s three-and-a-half-year-long run on television. The producers were hopeful that the channel may agree to a generational leap, and if not, they would shift the time slot and extend it for a few months. However, it seems the channel is in no mood to give any lease of life to Imlie and has decided to put a final full stop to the show’s journey. As reported earlier, Ankit Gupta’s new show will replace Imlie. Talking about Imlie, the first season featured actors like Sumbul Touqeer, Gashmeer Mahajani in lead roles. Post Gashmeer’s exit, Fahmaan Khan was introduced, which boosted the TRPs to a significant level. In the second season, actor Karan Vohra and Megha Chakraborty were roped in.
