Hooray for Toothless! The new live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon is already breaking franchise records, predicted to become the highest-grossing opening weekend for Hiccup and Toothless, and it’s barely Saturday! That’s the truly Viking way. Deadline reports that the film is estimated to earn $82 million over the weekend, almost doubling the amount the original made fifteen years ago. It’s also estimated to earn $200 million globally— everyone around the world is obsessed with the cute lil guy. Who wouldn’t be?

How to Train Your Dragon isn’t the only remake outperforming the original this summer. Lilo & Stitch earned $146 million during its opening weekend, compared to the original’s $35 million. Granted, both films had nearly two decades to build a new audience, so it’s not the biggest surprise that they’ve both made so much money. The box office doesn’t even include how much cash Universal or Disney has made in merch sales— because it’s impossible to not love a little Toothless or Stitch plushie. They’re so cute!
