A New Year’s special television program, the 2024 Superstar Red & White Entertainment Awards, was recently held in Taiwan, with LE SSERAFIM appearing as one of the performers for the evening.

While they delivered a captivating performance and were able to greet fans in Taiwan for the first time, an alleged comment made by one of the program’s hosts, Wayne Huang (also known as Huang Weijin), an actor actively promoting in Taiwan, has come under fire for its sexual implications toward the group.

An account of the incident was shared on social media, stating that during the show, the LE SSERAFIM members ate fried sweet potato balls, and while they were eating them, Wayne Huang allegedly said, “I want to insert into them down there…(pause) the fried sweet potato balls.”

It was reported that a fellow host, Lulu Huang Lu Zi Yin, attempted to intervene, calling out the implications of the comment, saying, “Hey Wayne, what you said doesn’t sound right.”

Video of the incident was then discovered, capturing Wayne Huang saying, “I want to insert into them down there…” while other hosts are heard immediately responding with, “Where?” and “We heard that.”

Netizens were quick to share their disgust and outrage, flooding the comment section of Wayne Huang’s recent social media posts with comments calling out what many agreed was a sexual remark and demanding an apology be made to LE SSERAFIM.
