Segal referred to her co-star Aditi Rao Hydari as a “good school girl,” highlighting Hydari’s punctuality and adherence to rules. Segal said, “Aditi is a good school girl, please understand that. Teacher will say you have to submit your homework at this time and Aditi will do exactly that and not one more word than the word count limit. That is Aditi for you. So, according to her everyone is late and she is on time” . Netizens lashed out Sharmin and call her out for her foul attitude as they found Segal’s remarks disrespectful.   When Aditi Rao Hydari condemned the trolling of Sharmin Segal as her performance was deemed as poor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. In one of her interviews Aditi was asked about Sharmin facing harsh criticism for her performance as Alamzeb, to which the actress said, ” It’s horrible to pick on anybody. I know some people like something and some people don’t. There is a way to say it. It can get very mean. It has gotten very mean and I think it’s not fair and it shouldn’t happen like that. I don’t know what else to say, but I do feel bad. I think we should all understand it and be there for each other”. Sharmin Segal reacts to being trolled for her role as Alamzeb in Heeramandi. Sharmin Segal has addressed the backlash she received for her portrayal of Alamzeb. In an interview with BBC Asian Network, she acknowledged the pressure but emphasized her commitment to mental health and maintaining a balance between her professional and personal life. Sharmin expressed that while she aspires for everyone to appreciate her work, she understands that criticism is inevitable. She noted, “I do want to prove myself; but today I am also a realist in that way”.
