Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin serial: Rumoursare rife that Shakti Arora, who currently portrays the male lead protagonist Ishaan, will soon bid adieu to the Bhavika Sharma starrer. Allegedly, the channel and makers of GHKPM have decided that a fresh story and actors could boost the TRP, hence, aside from Bhavika Sharma, the current cast is asked to leave the show. There were also speculations that Abhishek Nigam of Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga fame and Harshad Chopda of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame are approached to replace Shakti Arora. Abhishek Nigam reacts to his viral audition video with Bhavika Sharma

The rumours of Abhishek Nigam starring in Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma starrer are baseless as he will be seen in the TV show Pukaar – Dil Se Dil Tak, which also features Sayli Salunkhe and Anushka Merchande. He will essay the character of Sagar. As he is already playing a significant role in another, the chance of him doing another tv show, especially as a male lead protagonist, is not possible. The video where Abhishek can be seen with Bhavika enacting a scene is basically the audition video which Abhishek gave when the makers introduced the leap and were hunting for the male lead for Bhavika Sharma. Abhishek Nigam was one of the strong contenders, but the role eventually went to Shakti Arora. Reacting to the video, Abhishek recently said to the media that he did audition for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin last year; however, the talks between him and the makers didn’t materialize further. He also states that as an actor, his job is to audition for good characters, but the selection is certainly not in his hands.
