Azaelia Banks is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who has been active in the industry for many years. While she has collected accolades and is undoubtedly talented, Banks’ controversial statements and behaviors have often overshadowed her work.
She recently gained attention after dissing musician Troye Sivan after he mentioned her in an Interview, using what many considered to be transphobic and homophobic language.

Now, netizens believe she has targeted BTS’s Jungkook in her latest tirade.
While Banks does have an Instagram account for work related to her music, she is more active on the account for her health and beauty business, CHEAPYXO.
On November 10, Banks posted a series of Instagram stories about the recently leveled allegations at A$AP Rocky. She discussed how the rapper has been accused of acts of violence but has not faced any consequences while using Chris Brown as a reference point.
While talking about her love of Chris Brown, she shared another story where she questioned if “we” could now get rid of “fruity K-Pop weirdos.”

Sidebar: now that we are done
pretending Chris brown isn’t the most important artist of this decade can we all pretty please tell these fruity k-pop weirdos to get out of here with their ghost
white bleach booties and trash
Michael jackson

The k-pop boy bands are just a bunch of twerkin
Twinks.

Many have taken the “trash Michael Jackson choreo” part of her message to be a direct hit towards BTS’s Jungkook. Jungkook recently released his solo album GOLDEN and the music video for “Standing Next To You” has led many to compare him favorably to the late musician.
Oddly enough, this would not be the first time Azaelia Banks has mentioned Jungkook. In 2021, she shared a photoset of Jungkook and related to his experiences.

Netizens have reacted very strongly to her words, as even if she was not targeting Jungkook, her comments about K-Pop could be considered xenophobic.

having your career be so low underground that you have to pull out the homophobia towards a gay musician and then the xenophobia towards a whole genre of musicians whilst praising a piece of shit all in about a week is genuinely mental https://t.co/cAAAvuHbhz
