Nitesh Tiwari‘s upcoming film Ramayana is much in talks. The movie that is going to be made on a massive budget is going to star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita. KGF 2 star Yash is going to be the mighty villain, Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s version of Ramayana. Now Dipika Chiklia who was a part of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana has commnted on the upcoming film. She believes that the religious texts should not be tampered with. The actress stated that she is quite disillusioned by people making Ramayan and she feels that people are messing it up. Dipika added that everything the filmmakers want to do something new, add a new angle and new look in turn spoil the impact of Ramayan. The actress gave example of Adipurush. She was quoted saying, “Like for Kriti Sanon, they gave her a pink coloured satin (saree in Adipurush). They gave Saif (Saif Ali Khan who played Ravana in Om Raut’s film) a different look because they wanted to do something different, creatively. But then what you are doing is you’re spoiling that whole impact of what Ramayan is all about.” She questioned why the filmmakers only picking up Ramayan when there are so many stories like that of freedom fighters and more to talk about.

While Dipika Chiklia is not much in favour of this Ramayana being made but Arun Govil who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana is going to be a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s film.
