Fans Think TXT’s Soobin Indirectly Responded To The “So Gay” Meme From “Deja Vu”

TXT‘s Soobin was recently caught giggling during an encore live for their hit song, “Deja Vu.” He had been unable to contain his laughter while singing his own part.

The part had become a meme on the internet thanks to his fans. With the stylized pronunciation of the original Korean lyrics, many international fans hear it as “so gay” instead of “sok-e.

On a radio show the very next day, Soobin reenacted the part. He indirectly confirmed his knowledge of the meme. After he sang it, he explained that “although the original was ‘sok-e,’ you had to raise the end like ‘ay.’” Soobin further explained that while recording the song, he also had doubts about the stylized pronunciation! The other members egged him on, copying the part with an exaggerated “ay.”

Ha… seems like Soobin knows about this meme. PLEASE. He also said he was like ‘is this right?’ when he was recording it.

There are times where international fans mishear Korean lyrics due to the exaggerated pronunciation! Although it may not be the most accurate, it does make for funny inside jokes between artists and their fans.
