Which is, of course, to say that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce revealed their engagement via Instagram on August 26 and their closest celebrity friends are sending their congrats. Swift and Kelce have turned off comments on their photo, forcing all future wedding guests to share their good wishes with a public post. And they’re happy to oblige.

Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, reposted the engagement to its Instagram story, captioned “NEW NEWS” and “Congrats to @taylorswift @killatrav.” The podcast also shared an edited version of their engagement photo, adding a shirtless, celebrating Jason Kelce. “This pretty much sums up everyone’s reaction,” they captioned it.

Donald Trump was asked about the engagement at a cabinet meeting on August 26. “Well, I wish them a lot of luck,” Trump said, per Deadline. “He’s a great player, and I think he’s a great guy, and I think that she’s a terrific person, so I wished them a lot of luck.” Previously, Trump denigrated Swift after she endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, going so far as to say, “I hate Taylor Swift.” So happy to hear that now she’s terrific.
