BTS‘s Jungkook has showcased his true global popularity with a recent performance.

On November 9, there were rumblings about a special event Jungkook would do, with many assuming it would be in Times Square. Of course, ARMYs were right, and it was announced that fans had 30 minutes to get to the TSX Stage where the idol would be performing.

As everyone gathered in Times Square, the countdown went off, and Jungkook appeared on the stage.

As soon as Jungkook came out, the crowds went wild and the idol put on a picture-perfect performance with some of his solo tracks.

Considering there was only officially a 30 minutes notice for the event, ARMYs couldn’t hide their shock at how many people were at the performance. While many ARMYs had stayed around the area, the crowds were still unprecedented.

Yet, while the crowds were shocking (with just 30 minutes’ notice), it was the diversity of the crowd that had ARMYs so proud. One fan on YouTube even shared that they saw ARMYs from every walk of life coming together to support Jungkook at such a historical event.

While ARMYs have always been known for being so diverse, Jungkook’s Times Square performance gained attention for the… fanboys!
It is well known that BTS has always shown love to their fanboys at every opportunity they can. Even during their Permission To Dance shows, the members showcased their love for their male fans in every way possible.

It meant that ARMYs weren’t surprised but couldn’t hide their emotions seeing so many fanboys in the crowd cheering for Jungkook. When the camera panned, fanboys were showing their love for the idol and one video showed a fan trying to get the best view of Jungkook.
