Sorry, Jimmy, for one day, the Tonight Show belongs to Taylor Swift. Fallon wasted no time, skipping his monologue minus a few Taylor jokes, to introduce his highly anticipated guest and her love of baking sourdough bread. Sorry, sourdough is not an Easter Egg; the Showgirl just loves to bake. “I have become the most annoying person that anyone knows about the topic of bread,” Swift half-joked, knowing that many of her interviews over the weekend included some bread talk. “I think I need to move on to accoutrements of bread… jams and such.” At this point, it’s torture that Swift doesn’t release any recipes or, at the very least, create an Instagram account that showcases her cooking adventures. Release the vault (of recipes)!
Bread news aside, Swift gushed over Travis Kelce’s proposal planning and shared how he had the ring for “a really long time” before he gave it to her. “I look at it constantly. It doesn’t feel normal to me,” she shared. “You look at that and go, ‘I get to hang out with him forever,’ and this represents that.” Swift was also surprised by how nervous her fiancé was, as he proposed to her right after they filmed the New Heights podcast. “I’ve never seen this dude nervous, like ever,” Swift laughed. She should’ve checked his heart rate after he listened to “Wood” with his family — that’s probably a close second.
