Specifically, the Best Actor in a Play nominee wears a look inspired by Peters when she accepted her second Best Actress in a Musical Tony in 1999 for Annie Get Your Gun. The reference isn’t exact, but the silver dress, piled-high red hair, and off-the-shoulder neckline come together in a stunning homage.
